Designing Interactive Meetings and Events
We have developed the Interactive Learning Matrix as a unique framework to guide you in designing interactive elements into meetings and events. The framework and the associated techniques engage participants and result in increased application of new ideas and commitment to decisions.

Tools for Organizational Effectiveness
We have added some new assessment tools to the resources we draw on in our work with clients.
We now are able to offer services to individuals, teams and organizations that include:

- FIRO Element B - the updated version of this classic tool that provides insight into interpersonal interactions at the individual and group levels

- Thomas Kilman Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) for assessing conflict resolution styles

Michael Randel was invited by the ISD Special Interest Group of DCASTD, the Metro DC Chapter of ASTD, to present our new Interactive Learning Matrix in a webinar to instructional design practitioners.
The 1-hour recording provides an overview of the Interactive Learning Matrix, explores the benefits of engaging learning, and describes more than twenty ways in which we can design learning experiences that promote interaction. Examples from both face-to-face and virtual learning environments are provided.
Do take at least a few minutes to watch the webinar itself - it was designed to model interactive learning in how the session was structured and facilitated!

Practical Tools for Issue Mapping
Michael Randel, Director of Randel Consulting Associates, addressed a recent conference of political scientists from Latin America, meetingin Washington DC. He looked at practical tools for tackling Wicked Problems, and led 150 participants in an exercise to visualize the options for promoting democracy.

Certified Professional Facilitator
We are well pleased to announce that Michael Randel, Director of Randel Consulting Associates, has become a Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF), as assessed by the International Association of Facilitators (IAF).
After a few months of preparation, which included illustrating to the satisfaction of independent assessors that his facilitation experience satisfies the Facilitator Competencies of the IAF, he was invited to a day-long assessment event that involved interviews and a practical demonstration of his expertise by designing and running a 30-minute session.
